Multiple engines are available for the Ram 1500, including the 3.6-litre Pentastar V6 with eTorque, 5.7-litre HEMI V8 with and without eTorque, 3.0-litre EcoDiesel V6, and the powerful supercharged 6.2-litre HEMI V8. Although the 3.5-litre EcoBoost V6 gets slightly more towing capacity than Ram's 5.7-litre V8, it requires an optional package to achieve the maximum towing capacity, and Ford's remaining engines achieve a lower towing capacity overall.
